my f i r s t sale!

so a few hours ago, #ThePRISMpostcardproject opened
at the PRISM Gallery in Makati.

so when i got in the gallery, i was surprised and happy when i saw my works as the first artworks from the entrance.

i was also able to finally meet sab palmares, an INK member, and also a friend of elli's. she commended me on one of my cats. and i felt giddy :)

i did my round looking at the works of each artist. on my 2nd round, i decided to take photos of each artist (or two)--except for mine, unfortunately.

and then love arrived. and i remembered to submit my COA to the gallery people. after handing the envelop, they informed me that one of my works was already sold (i felt really happy inside!) and then they told me it was sab who bought it! and m'like "woaaaah!" (super giddy and happy!) i looked at my works and one was already missing and a yellow circle sticker was already marked on the label at the bottom.

my first sale..ever!
it feels so good!

anyway, before we left the gallery. i went (with love) to the gallery owner, ms. gold. i was curious of what medium she used on her works (and yes, she has works too) and learned it was gouache--which i just learned is a sister/brother of postercolor and watercolor. anyway, after which, i introduced myself to her. and then she said, how she liked my cats (my postcards/paintings).

on november 6, there will be another event which are for crafts--wherein they will still showcase our postcards. so that's OSM. i hope i sell more. i am kinda looking forward for commission works, to be honest. i wonder how it'd feel like. the pressure x the fun, haha~

these are the framed postcards before i delivered them :)

the p r i s m postcard project

early october, PRISM gallery
called for artists who were interested in joining their
#thePRISMpostcardproject.

i hurriedy emailed them some inquiries and what not.
and then, showed samples of  my works..
and GOT IN! (i was so happy!)

i was able to finish 15 postcard / paintings
(although i was really aiming to finish 20, but 15 is good)

last monday,
i was able to finally deliver my framed works to the gallery.

and today, they finally announced the opening of the exhibit,
which is on friday!

i am very excited since this is my first exhibit  that i got on my own.
and well, i am very proud of what  have come up with.
i hope i do sell my works.
but if i don't, atleast i tried :3

c a t lifelessons 101

if there's one thing my CATS taught me about life,
is that there's no pleasing everyone.

and honestly--there's NO NEED to please anyone.

you just got to be who you want to be.
you just got to do what you want to do.

if they like you, they like you.
if they don't, then move along.

17 October 2015

and it's taking f o r e v e r

sorry if it took me a while to update you.
but last september 30,
forever21 contacted me.

i got in. and needs to be scheduled
for my interview with the VP of operations.

and that was the day i had an interview wit hkidzart at greenhills.
i was almost in. as an art teacher for an extra curricular class
in OB montessori in greenhills.

october1, i had an interview with cashcash at makati.
i was almost in. as a photoretoucher.
the exam was a blast with my future senior / kinda boss.

a day after, i received my job offers from both companies.
i could fit in both as my full time and part time.
less toxic full time job. and i'd be able to teach for my part time.
and also continue my one on one with migs.

but i had to see through forever21's offer.

but i didn't get a job offer still. they said they'll contact me.
and i had to turn down those osm offers~

and now.. well, it's been days or weeks..idk.
but i feel like it's taking forever again.

my patience is being tested for real.
i hope this long wait (almost 4months since i applied)
is worth it.
INSHALLAH
